NO DATA CENTERS

On October 6th, we are calling on every Pennsylvanian to come to Harrisburg to STOP Data Center Development NOW!

From agricultural communities to suburbia to our cities, no community or way of life is safe from a data center being built next door.

Municipal meetings are packed to overflowing with community members sharing one common message -“No Data Centers!”

Poll after poll says the majority of Pennsylvanians oppose data centers.

Yard signs saying “NO Data Center” are everywhere across the Commonwealth.

People from every walk of life and political stripe are organizing and showing up!

And what has your state government's reaction been?

Inaction, mostly.

Weak laws and “guardrails” that are focused on giving data centers a pathway to construction despite their community, environmental, agricultural and worker impacts.

Tax breaks and backroom deals for Big Tech

Your governor and legislators did not expect your opposition to data centers would last this long and be this strong.

On October 6, Pennsylvanians are heading to Harrisburg to let them know that we're more determined than ever to stop data center development in Pennsylvania!

CONSTITUENT LETTERS CAMPAIGN

We will be kicking off a fall campaign at our rally we're excited to tell you about!

When we gather in Harrisburg, we will be speaking with one voice to say NO to data center development in PA, but our reasons for gathering are many and varied!

Many have great concerns for data centers' impacts to our environment. Maya van Rossum, Founder of Green Amendments for the Generations, will be speaking about our constitutional right to a clean and healthy environment at our rally! And everyone is encouraged to sign the letter her organization is delivering to the governor and legislators. Copies of the letter will be available for attendees to take to their legislators' offices while they're in Harrisburg!

But we want to demonstrate to Governor Shapiro and our legislators that there are many valid concerns that extend beyond those impacts.

Artists are concerned about the impacts GenAI will have on their work.
Parent & guardians have many concerns regarding how both data centers and AI impact their children.
Healthcare professionals are concerned data centers' impacts on our physical and mental health.
Faith leaders are concerned with protecting God's creation and the marginalized.

MINI-GRANTS AVAILABLE

Delaware Riverkeeper Network is pleased to offer the opportunity for individuals to have travel costs and other expenses reimbursed to attend the October 6 NO DATA CENTERS Rally in Harrisburg, PA. Please fill out this Mini-Grant form to apply.

PARKING IN HARRISBURG

There are several lots near the Capitol Complex. Unless you are able to climb the staircase to the main entrance on 3rd St., you'll want to enter the Capitol from the Commonwealth St. entrance at the rear of the building near the fountain. The 7th St. and 5th St. lots are the lots more convenient to that entrance. There is also metered street parking available across from the Main Entrance on 3rd. on State Street. There are very few handicapped spots on South Drive and Commonwealth. Please arrange to be dropped off if at all possible.

Sign the letter to tell our government officials it’s time to protect people and our environment over data centers. We the People of Pennsylvania have a constitutional RIGHT to a clean, safe and healthy environment which cannot be protected if hyperscale data centers are allowed to proliferate.
